In the General Assembly Senate Bill 74 was ratified June 26, 2017 and signed by the Governor July 12, 2017. The amended legislation goes into effect October 1, 2017.

State vet encourages livestock owners to vaccinate against rabies
The NC DPH is officially eliminating the requirement for incoming dogs/cats/ferrets to be accompanied by an ICVI (health certificate). ICVI’s are still required for other species in accordance with NCDA&CS rules. See Companion Animal Exports - Dogs, Cats, Ferrets and Import/Export Requirements for Dogs, Cats & Ferrets.
