National Asian and Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

National Asian and Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NAPIHAAD) is observed annually on May 19, within Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and focuses on raising awareness and reducing the impact of HIV related stigma within the Asian and Pacific Islander communities. It was founded by the Banyan Tree Project and has been observed since 2005.

Get Involved

You can raise awareness of HIV stigma among Asian and Pacific Islander people and provide information on prevention, testing, and treatment using Let’s Stop HIV Together campaign resources for Asian people and Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander people.

Let’s Stop HIV Together aims to empower communities, partners, and healthcare providers to reduce HIV stigma and promote prevention, testing, and treatment. With campaign resources, you can play a role in preventing HIV and helping people with HIV stay healthy. The Let’s Stop HIV Together campaign is part of the national Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. (EHE) initiative.

Promoting NAPIHAAD to Get the Word Out
